Readers' notices are for memories and knowledge of a place: its history, its buildings, what it was like to live there.

What you may not post

• The name of any private individual, including current occupants, neighbours, owners, buyers or sellers.
• Allegations about any identifiable person or business.
• Personal data of any kind: addresses of people, phone numbers, email addresses.
• Links to other websites.
• Hate, harassment, threats, or abuse of anyone.

Comments may be up to 1,000 characters.

Every comment is read first

Nothing appears until a moderator has read it. We may decline any comment, and we do not edit comments: we publish them as written or not at all.
